Welcome to my new blog Health Care Watch. Yeah, I know it is very creative. If anybody can come up with a better name, feel free to leave a comment and I will consider changing the name.
Anyways, enough about my lack of creativity. My intent with this blog is to cover many of the major health issues of the day from either a medical or business perspective. What qualifies me to even discuss these topics? I’m currently completing a MD-MBA. You are probably wondering why you should listen to a student instead of an actual licensed physician or a healthcare executive. I’ll agree this is a valid argument, but unfortunately they aren’t going to blog and if you ask them about these topics they will probably just blow you off because they don’t have time. Trust me, I have observed physicians who did that. As an added bonus, in a little over 18 months, I’ll have my MD and I will be a physician. . .sort of.
I’m going to be posting some links of the day for a while until I get a couple columns/posts written, but if there are any topics you would like covered in this blog (e.g. MRSA), let me know and I will try to discuss them. However, I won’t discuss any specific medical problems you may be having for legal reasons. I am willing to discuss the topic in general and then tell you to go see a physician about it.
